I moved from being happily divorced to happily newlywed this past August. This, along with back-to-school (Doh!) leaves much less time for online/offline racing. The wine, women and song hobby is now a wine, womAn and song hobby -- I much prefer it, my new bride absolutely rocks!!!. I have been able to convince my lovely bride to take up racing games, so BadGirl can be seen from time to time tearing up the tracks. She's not as interested in racing as I am, but at least she's more cooperative than my kids in that regard.
My three amazing kids have moved from Gameboys to Nintendo DS and PC's with no sign of taking any interest in racing games except for the young son who plays Sonic Riders on the X-Box. Whoever heard of Hedgehogs racing on boards? The two girls are now in junior high (Gr. 7 and Gr. 8) but have been informed of their father's policy on boys: No dating until they're 35. When the place is silent they're either at their mother's or MSN in action.
I finally broke out of the old school (keyboarder) and got a wheel last Christmas. (I hope #21 and Oldgoat will still speak to me.) It was a tough transition. It's more fun and my cursor (right) hand has shrunk back down to only twice the size of my left. Thanks to the wheel I was finally able to complete the TRD2 career. I got NFSMW when it came out and beat it. I enjoy the police chases, too bad you can't do that online. For online racing, HP2 is still the way to go IMHO.
I still love being an EAOutlaw even though I have less time to devote to posting and enjoying the other Outlaws' posts. I'm really glad about the return of EAOtrilegdog (formerly EAOThreelegged dog? EAOrookie? something like that) whose sense of humour, knowledge of puters and gaming and multiple personalities (see Yahoo and Google.com) always keep things interesting.
He got me into the Outlaws in the first place.
