Born and raised in Guildford, Surrey, England, MrVan was in trouble all the time. If it wasnt women that caused him trouble it was the simple mischief things that kept him the mud. School was a bore so it held his interest very little and added to his troubled youth. Mum and Dad tried to raise him better, but like the old song goes, "but their teachings he denied." Like the little Black Sheep he was in trouble from the beginning.
One day while skipping school, Van was crusing the gutters and alleys when he came upon something new. They called it a "Coffee Bar", but it had a arcade room in its basement including the renowed "Fruit Machines" (A fruit for the fruity). Soon Van found himself at the Coffee Bar spending his money (more on the Fruit Machines than the games [LOL] ). It was there that he found the love of gaming, and a friend who was willing to provide compitition for Van to begin his gaming career. The racing game "Outrun" provided Van with the compitition he craved. His friend would beat his times on the game, the he in return would beat his friends time, thus providing Van with a good excuse to miss school.
A few years passed, as well as his fruit money, when his brother started being involved with computers. Building machines from scratch, it wasnt long before there were enough extra parts to build Van a computer of his own. With a new computer now, and Hot Pursuit2 provided by his brother, Van soon found himself completing the game and stepping into the Online Racing World. While online MrVan found very few "fun and friendly" people to race with, untill one day he found his way into EAO KillerUK server where he found some very fun and friendly people who called themselves the EAOutlaws.
Needing a good racing name to play with, and just finishing watching "The Fast and Furious" with Vin Diesel, MrVan took on the name "Van Petrol" and was soon renamed "Van". It was the fast and friendly folks like EAO KillerUK, EAO AutoPilot, EAO Leadfoot, EAO Eskoop that MrVan wanted to be as fast as and kept him visiting the EAO's servers to play HP2. It wasnt long before the EAO members recognized Van Petrol as a GREAT racer who possesed the qualities that the EAOutlaws look for in a member and invited him to join Team HP2.
With the release of NFS Underground, Van found himself loving the game more and more each time he played. It wasnt long before he was offered the position of Team UG Desperado. Remembering his favorite quotes, "Theres always a first time" and "What one man can do, another can do", it was with reluctant jubilation MrVan accepted being Game Leader for the EAOutlaws.
MrVan still resides in his home town of Guildford where he is a business owner of a flourishing plant nursery and is doing very well for himself.
It has been both an honor and priviledge to know Van Petrol as a Teammate, we sincerely hope he is a member of this Team for many years to come.
